This is the blurb from the Kranzle website, my mistake it's not the ceramic pistons that mean they can run dry but they be dry run.
Dry-run safety:
All Kranzle high-pressure cleaners are equipped with a fabric sleeve and a Teflon graphite backing ring on each plunger. The excellent lubricating properties of Teflon graphite serve to reduce both the friction and temperature inside the pump. For this reason, Kranzle pumps can be run without water for quite some period without suffering any damage = Dry-run safety protection.
Some machine marts have a clearance section at the back - the one in Swansea had quite a few pressure washers there the other day. Some of the stuff is very tatty but then other stuff has never been used. Perhaps worth a look. Think it is the bigger stores only.

I was looking on the lidl and aldi websites but nothing there.... i guess they had them in a few weeks ago, and you are seeing remaining stock?
Just looking up the stats on the electric one now. £90 on one of them vs £200 for the karcher from wicks, if the stats are anywhere near close, id go for the lidl one, and look on it as hopefully lasting 2 years, and costing £45 / yr - which would be ok with me.

those are pretty pants, 8litres/min is naff all, they generate high pressure because there's so little flow out the end of the gun
but... for £89 you might as well get the aldi/lidl/whatever one, can;t beat that price and if it's naff you haven't lost much?

i know what you are saying, but i dont think ill get more flow without getting onto machines the size of a wheelbarrow?

that's 1300psi 12litres/min
but you'd need an unloader valve for it, that'll be £25 ontop
also not sure if you'd rather something ready to go

That kind of thing is of much more interest to me - i dont need a million attachments, and 99% of the time it would stay in one place also.
I dont think ill be able to learn enough in the 10 mins the auction has left to make me comfortable spending over £100 on a non-working unit though, but i dont mind the general concept at all.
keep a look out for more of those then, you can get a real bargain that way :-)
the unloader valve that one needs is just the valve that goes on the side of the pump with a big knob on it to adjust the pressure - when you have go of the trigger on the gun the pressure increases, the vave trips and lets the water coming out of the pump go back into the inlet of the pump
the pumps are all constant flow pumps, so they just keep pumping the same amount of water no matter the pressure... so you need a valve to let the pressure off when there's no where else for the water to go :-)

if your looking at the lidl ones just pop in to a few stores i think they where on offer 2 weeks ago mine has stock
they had the metal chop saw and had sold near none of them and over the last few weeks i have been keeping my eyes open to see if they will reduce them not wanting to spend the £40 if i could get them any cheaper as they have not sold(yes i know £40 is not thet much what can i say im cheap
)but went in there today and they all gone inpassing i did ask one of the guys in there what happens to the not sold offers stuff he replyed they move it round the country to what stores they sell at eg if the chop saws sold out in 3 days in manchester they will send from a store to them to give them more stock

I replaced a short lived cheep pressure washer with a Nilfisk Alto Poseidon 2 about five or six years ago, it came with two lances one that can be used to clean the van, the other has a rotating jet which will strip paint or take the top layer of a concrete path, definitely not to be used on an old Merc. IIRC it was the bottom of the semi professional range and uses a different bayonet on the lance so the domestic patio cleaner attachments will not fit, the only one I have considered is the drain rodding attachment but again it will not fit.
You can buy the same machine as a 10LPM it's a K10 pump runs at 2800 instead of 1400, the 7 is popular for mobile valeters because it uses less water and the the pump runs slower so in theory it's more durable and uses less power.
For some things pressure is important but as already said flow is as or
more important. If you do a driveway or patio with a low flow machine you end up with dirt all over yourself and everywhere else because there isn't enough flow to move it away.
Using that logic why not buy the Kranzle? £45/yr for 10 years
