Please Recommend me a new mask - up to £100

Hi,
As previously posted my ESAB Warrior mask has been showing a low battery for a while, now it's stopped working. I'm going to try tearing into it to see if I can replace the battery, but I'm also going to look for a new one. Any suggestions welcome ..
Must have replaceable battery
Must be able to fit cheater lens
Dont care about grinder mode

Just bought GYS Alien, seems well made, big true colour screen.
seems to react fast, but it would seem like a big improvement over a 10 year old Parweld
Not so keen on the headband = to many "Adjustments"
There are a Lot of helmets in the £60-£100 range,
Did look at the latest Parweld XR938H, the Yesweld. SWP, and believe that someone on here said that Halfords trade account holders could get the SIP 8000 on discount.
Will all depend on what you fancy as there is not a lot to chose between them.

I know its over budget but managed to get the r-tech on special (was down to £120 from £150. And is a good helmet with true colour.

If can wait for special then might be an option.

Thank. Just looking at R-tech. It doesnt appear that their larger screen models (XXL and Pro HD) can take a magnifier. Need to check with them.

Forgot to mention that the GYS Alien has Cheater lens clips built into the screen, they have little dimples along the strip,and if you buy the GYS lenses they have the cosponsoring dimples in the lens so you can locate the lens at where ever suits you.
Hopefully they will come out with a full size lens

Mentioned before that the full sized cheater is available but expensive compared to the small one. The full sized cheater is the nuts, I am not a lover of the solar or battery auto darkening masks but I am a fan of the bigger lens, big cheater is about £25 ish.

R-Tech have just confirmed that their XXL (98x90mm view) can take a magnifier. That's looking favourite at the moment.

Still swithering, it would be silly to ignore the recommendations for GYS Alien. There seem to be different versions on offer, the one I'm looking is variously callex "ALIEN XXL+" or "ALIEN+ XXL", model number 068698.

There's also a different model number without the "+". And Ebay has what looks like counterfeit described as ..

I bought a GYS Alien XXL some time back, while it was ok, I also bought a cheapy chinese and the chinese was better. I did have some comparason photos somewhere but cant find them now. The Alien had more green tint to the screen. The price appears to have gone up a lot since then.
GYS is also a french brand, a good reason to avoid them.

I assume that supply of these decent true colour ADF's was more then the demand from importers willing to pay for them, which is why theres was many cheap chinese brands selling the good ones.

I suggest one of these. Amazon has very easy returns, so if you dont like, it can go back. I have not tried it but the reviews are generally good.

I'm in 2 minds, try and clean mine up, get a cheater lens etc, or just buy this YesWelder, not a lot of thinking really.

I have got various welding screens including speed glass and r-tech ones but the one I personally favour far more that any is the parweld true colour mask. I didn't expect much for the relatively low price but was greatly surprised and it is still my go to helmet.
I'm definitely not a fan of the r-tech true colour mask. It's hard to describe but it feels overly bulky for the work and spaces I find myself in.
I would highly recommend this parweld mask it's available in different colours and obviously various different suppliers so the costs vary but well below your £100 budget

Never used a Parweld lid but I was unable to get them to supply me a pair of gloves without holes in them and thats with replacements direct from customer services. Puts me off buying anything of their brand.

Ah theres quite a few on ebay of the old ginour style Tho the side windows look slightly smaller.

I much prefer having the side windows. Viewing width is much more useful than viewing height.

Review - Ginour true colour mask

I've had this two months and think its great, heres a mini review of it. I managed to get out in daylight yesterday, but only just, 4:30pm, so got some photos Phone looking through the ADF is very clear, very little tint. It goes down to shade 5 but 9-11 seems to suit my work best at 40-150A...

In reply to @spaffmonkey had my old parweld for just under 10 years, the paint is flaking of the plastic and its had ? many cover screens but it still works and never changed a battery so they are good, just went with the GYS Alien for a change
