Also had to go to ABB for a few isolator switches where schneider didn't have an equivalent

I put ABB breakers in at Schneider Wrexham whilst working for another Schneider department, the local manager wasn’t impressed but he couldn’t provide a equivalent and Wrexham specialise in that area

Unusual to put a 4 pole in front of the UPS, somebody does a mains failure test on it via that isolator and the neutrals gone.

That's a good find. Exactly what I had been looking for, a quality set for about £20. One of the things that confuses me somewhat is there are two plus-minus types, Pozidrive or Philips. I appreciate the difference between PZ and PH, just surprised there are apparently two varieties in the plus-minus configuration.

I thought the whole idea of having a hybrid flat blade and cross head would be to mitigate the effects of cam-out which is apparently the main contention between PH and PZ.

One for the European market, one for the American market. Canadians are too busy using Robertson.
Mostly here it is SL/PZ, but occasionally you find a SL/PH depending on manufacturer.

With screw types more variants is obviously better because.... reasons. Also you can sell more screwdrivers. Win.

I've now got, I think, 18 different tips in my Wera interchangeable set which I keep for a grab and go. That doesn't even cover everything you might encounter either...
I suspect I could get away for the most part with bodging it with one flat blade and a cross point, but that's not how I roll.

They are good to give to someone who asks to borrow a screwdriver as they are too tight to buy their own because the driver fits neither normal PZ nor normal slotted.

Another on the list of 'stuff you might not have seen' is a 1/4" hex. roofing bolt driver (probably intended for cable trays):

Having just watched Stefan Gotteswinter's latest offering I now need to buy some screwdrivers
I never thought, for one moment, that the screws with both cross and straight slots had a driver of their own. I thought that they were made they way for convenience. (Perhaps they were, but someone saw a marketing opportunity?)

dont know if anyones noticed a lot of electrical screws are actually steel brass plated you only find out when you screw them out 2 far and they stick to your screwdriver same as all the screws in consumer units and breakers just steel and plated
