When your out and about and the police ask for your car registration ,
what do you tell them ...


I saw this when I was out and about today and its genuine .

Simple.
But I suspect some will not get it.

"Vanity Plates" are all the rage here.
You pay extra, and the DOT makes a few dollars more.

I think this one is innovative, using the basic plate design along with a simple vanity number:

Same letters but in different order, dyslexic plate maker perhaps. Turned it was his Mother's car and about four years old. Apparently no one had spotted it before. They let him off.

Here in Pennsylvania, we only have plates on the back.
So the front plate holder get's used for all sorts of "Plate sized" signeage.....including fake plates.

First new motorcycle I bought (an MZ250), the dealer's apprentice fuxxed up the reg plate and fitted one number up, from the neighbouring bike in the batch.
I didn't notice for three years or so until a pull and the rozzer spotted it.

I want a number that is difficult to remember. I always think when I spot a vanity plate " who got PRA1T" .

I got an extra plate made up for my trailer/car transporter, fitted it and used it a lot for for a few years as I was away racing twice a month.
When I sold the car I noticed the plate had been done wrong despite me taking the car & logbook to the garage for them to get the number right.
A simple case of getting doubling the wring letter - something like the new plate was ABB... but the plates on the car were AAB...

the garage put the plates on my new van and were wrong number came back as a vw crafter not a peugeot partner 4 weeks id been using it rang em up and they saiid id given them the wrong number no you put them on from newerr bring it in then

An ex-girlfriends big brother (on the Isle of Man) had the plate P155MAN on his car.
Had managed to get the plates made with very rounded 5s.

In the same vein I took a damaged but still easily legible plate into have a replacement made. This was in the old days before you need to take the V5 etc, The lad still managed to get the number wrong!

A mates RD 125 had two letters mixed up by the dealer but no one noticed until he got a pull from the old bill, they way these two morons were jumping up and down about it you'd think he had raped their daughters!

One of the foremen at Rover who no one liked had the nickname "Doggo" (another story) so some one had a set of plates with DOGGO on made up in the works garage and fitted them on his car, he didn't notice for over a week
