I got my new board sent out direct from Tech-arc along with a new spot weld timer and wiring diagram as the new board isn’t a direct swap.
I did the change over and found all ok except for the fact the fan wouldn’t run. I spoke to their technical guy and he confirmed the fan feed even though it was on the third spade connector was actually doubled up in the board from the second spade terminal. I corrected him and we found that when the board was being etched they’d missed out a complete track! After doubling up with a wire link, it cured the errant fan. So all well again with my Porta.
I would get stuck back into the Mini but the impending MOT on my Brazilian Bay T2 caused me to go searching for rot and I found plenty! So, amongst purchasing my new (to me) Caddy van I had to weld this and more!
