Hehe, well if you put it like that! When I was a mechanic in my youth the Metro was quite probably the worst piece of cr@p we ever used to work on (apart from anything made by Fiat, Datsun or Alfa of course) (yes I'm going back that far!!)

Now you're talking! The only car ever to have a square steering wheel! My second ever car was a Leyland Princess 1800, ugly as sin but it was like driving a 3 piece suite around!

The German's realised the quality of the brand though & re-released the Mini... best selling car in north America & Japan in it's release year. Britain has been overcome with career politics, ludicrous 'management' from Europe & mafia style taxation.

Yup, it's Energas, their Sheffield depot is 15mins away. It's MigWeld Universal, I don't see myself getting through it at a great rate so the size is about right i reckon.

A little before my time but I don't remember it being square. Another car which definitely had a square one was.........the rover SD1. Hehe, I think we've drifted way OT here

After talking to Steve a while ago, and saving up a lot, i took delivery of my 211 today, in yellow.

both the welder and the bits from Steve were well packaged, and arrived on the very day i asked them to.

To say i'm a happy bunny is an understatment. I laid down a few welds this evening on some scrap and it felt great.

Also bought a Parweld auto-mask. Having borrowed one (from Roger) I wouldn't ever go back to a manual one!

Didn’t know they did them in yellow ?
I will be placing an order for the same model in aug / sept..
The gas bottle would of looked better colour Coordinated.

You can order one in which ever colour you like, within reason, apparently!

I could paint the cylinder, but i don't think Energas would be too pleased..

Not yet sure where I can get my gas from, I believe its a hire contract.

Member is in Sheffield so Energas have a branch there sorry to go off on a tangent but who has seen the new integra bottles from air products?

I've got one for their ferrogas to go with my Kemppi 180 mig, supposedly for portability (built in regulator throw it straight in the van!).

Only problem is the d*mn thing weighs more than a 'W' oxy cylinder! W/A.
