Firstly thank you all so so much for all your help and mostly encouragment..
so this is the idea. Im restoring a classic mini ( slightly rusty obviously) and i managed to get a roll over jig a couple of years ago and then stripped and blasted the whole thing and primed her.
So the welding began so i invested in a proper welder from the advice off all you welding magicians.
So now i kinda worked out the power source to turn the jig but its the gearing im struggling with...
I bought a 240v scaffolding hoist 500/1000kg so thought i can use it to intall the engine.
So any ideas on attaching the hoist. I thought chain and sprocket but need it to spin slower.....help.
