No, I was in the middle of setting up the "cutting in" and "cutting out" of the compressor when I took the pictures.That looks like a "Roll-Air" pump.
Get that oil out of there regardless what you put back in there.
How is that uncovered electric switch box legal ? or are you working on it when the pix was snapped ?

A synth 5w40 car oil is what's specified for mine, which is nice, as I have loads of it.I use multigrade 10-40 that is better suited to our climate.
Were they not made to go “off-road”?
