I've made a few of these, either 50 x 50 x 3 shs or 40 x 40 depending on what's easiest to dig out of the rack, make a tee about 400 to 450 ish across the top, and 600 ish vertical mitre the 3 open ends and just drill the back face for fixing, the mitre gives you access to the hole when fitting, put a drilled lug on the top in the middle for wall fixing, an arm out with a short brace at 45deg under about 700 or so to hang the bag on, drilled or weld on a hook to suit the bag fitting.
Yes exactly that, mine have a lug made from a bit of flat or angle in the middle of the tee at the top, I've made a few of them for a shop fitting firm that fit out gyms, never had any comebacks on the design.think this is what you mean ? would you explain a bit further ?

Just an extra fixing in the middle, its probably not needed, but the first one I made had it so just carried on fitting it to keep them the same.whats the lug for ?
