Hello everyone. any info on the r tech 201 ac dc tig cheers ocean

Im half interested in the r tech 201 tig ac dc machine 230v ive spoken to the
owner who has told me that he imports the tig welder from china. but made
to his spec. he told me that you have several boards that are replacable
prices ranging from forty five pound to one hundread and five pounds all of
which he keeps in stock. he also told me he uses 2 power modules which are identical to that used in a kemppi machine german made. to replace these
would cost two hundread pounds each but he has only ever had one fail.
the spec on the machine looks good 60% duty cycle adjustable hertz upto
250 and many other specs. so is this a cheap welder with back up that wont cost the earth if it goes wrong but then there are many that all look the same or are they any opinions from you folks ive posted some pics all on ebay at the moment

What are the brass connectors at the bottom for?, the red welder has 2 but the others have only one
I imagine there the argon feed, the red 1 might have a back purge control as well.
I doubt the guy in this country spec'd the welder at all, but if he's good at fixing them, and the parts are as cheap as he says then there alright.
I've got no doubt at all, the market will be taken over with these welders in the future, they just need good aftersales and repairs in this country, like most things from china there parts are disposable and disposable these day's seems to be the cheapest option.
BUT, i'l stick to my high end stuff for now.

The red one has gas inlet and gas outlet, the other two only have gas outlet on the front so must have an inlet somewhere else.
(Looking at the pictures on a 22" CAD monitor at work, I can just about read the labelling on the machines).

He gives a two year warrantee. he used to trade as rjw industrial repair

he also carries out maintenance and repair of all types of welders cutters etc
ok lets say you buy a lincoln or kemppi and it goes wrong its going to cost
a fortune to put wright also a lot of what you think is british is built in china
or italy im not trying to plug his buisness just stating some facts

R-Tech stuff, is prodominatly made in China, but I have to say its the best quality Chinese stuff I have seen so far.
I would rather buy from him than someone off flee bay, I have been into a lot of end customers who have bought his equipment and everyone has been very happy with the back up service he has provided. That in itself is worth the extra few quid.
He has also serviced some of our 'Lorch' equipment in the Gloucestershire area.

There are loads of European manufacturers who 'pretend' that what they are selling is made in Europe or their country of origin, but is actually made in the Far east.
That winds me up, because in 'most' cases they still try and charge the price as if they really were made in their country of origin.
If your going to have stuff made in China, thats fine, but be honest about it, give a back up service on it, but charge a realistic price for it, not try and pull the wool over peoples eyes and charge, manufactured in Europe prices!

"My point is" I cant see the name on the pic you uploaded. Is it supposed to be from "New arc british company"? and have you any other companies who we think are british but are really Italian or chinese. You seem to be getting a upset over a few polite questions, that originate from your own thread ?
