Well I couldn't suggest relying on aftersale support. I'm not saying you won't get any from this seller but there are some who can only be described as crooks and like all these people they have ways to avoid repairs and refunds if you end up going back to them. Been there once with a cheap generator.
Your reliable comeback extends as far as the point where PayPal will give a refund.

There are 2x boc transarc tradesman 130 on eBay at the mo, one of them is only 90 quid. A good, honest, non inverter, portable stick machine...

He is UK based....so nothing that the sale of goods act, threat of small claims court action and a visit from trading standards wouldn't rectify......

Tried trading standards, but he was doing something with which address he was operating from - the units were in a container opposite the business address as I recall, trading standards did nothing (I don't know whether they could and didn't, or couldn't). Either way, it's like I said - crooks have ways to avoid things.

well, ive bought a welder...decided on the parweld in the end, got it and 5 kg (half 2.5 and half 3.2 6013) for £203 from weldequip which was the best deal i could find for any unit with the same power.
