Taiwanese tools are usually a step up in quality than Chinese, and a long long way from where they were thirty years ago, if that's what is worrying you. Almost every quality ratcheting wrench in the world irrespective of brand (with a couple of exceptions) has the mechanism made in Taiwan, for example.
Well, it could be that times have changed. Going back quite a few years, the Taiwanese made some of the worst stuff I've ever encountered.
A point I made the other day was that the Chinese can make quality (as per their Moon-lander) but also make crap, and I guess that may well be true of Taiwanese. Made by Molex and supplied by RS, and neither their cheapest nor their most expensive, it should get me through the next ten years
