seen some good results from air cooled welders handy and portable
Main problem I noticed was distortion of the diamond plate. Welding the arms on top pulled the plate up a bit. Not really a problem for this application (maybe even an advantage) but I'd change method if I did it again.I had imagined you'd notch the diamond plate to accept the arms within it, make welding easier and reduce twisting of the arms. But underneath will be more than strong enough I'm sure and am sure will weld fine
