When did a 'leg vice' become a 'post leg vice'?
You’ve probably done it some favours with the cladding. I’d imagine that got pretty hot and after that repair a bit of post weld heat has probably allowed things to settle down and relax a bit.
They have always been post leg vices. Only recently have people started erroneously referring to them as "leg vice"
Well if you are gonna fill it you’ll need to V it out.
What about in that area with a gas braze.
It doesn’t matter if it’s softer as that’s not an area that’s going to come into contact with anything. A braze shouldn’t dilute with the parent so the reaction shouldn’t be a problem.
