as someone who only started mig welding a few months ago I think you've done a top job, especially for a first project.

Nice work there getting a slightly rusty track project back on course.
I liked your idea of grinding off the steering lock on the ignition barrel, half way thru a build of a track car myself and that is a good safety idea I had never heard of.
Adding extra bracing for jacking also a good idea, had only seen adding side jack points for horizontal insert for very lowered cars or air jacks, think some plates under the cage front foot is on the menue.
I used a couple electrolysis tanks to do many of the same jobs you have done with citric acid, your brake calipers really came out well. Suggest you try electtol for real filthy rusty things like exhaust manifolds and caliper carriers.
Good project, life, family, Wuflu have all slowed down progress here. Must get a welder and learn to use...
Also meant to say I would have kept the rear luggage tabs, useful to lash down extra wheels, tool boxes, jerry cans...
