Rocket stove design advice

I'll be cooking standing up so 900mm tall is perfect. Stir fry's need a lot of heat.
And seeing as I have 150 box lying around, it's a no brainer.

It'll be fine, but to get high heat you do have to keep feeding these things, not like a big log fire or barby.

No problem with kindling or twigs, but you're doubling the usual area so need bigger wood, as you already said, just depends on how long you intend to be cooking for I suppose.

I've got a lot of scrap wood lying around. Bits of pallet, 2x4's etc.

How would you rate this type of design with two 45 degree bends rather than a 90 for secondary air?

too much air flow going through it, all it really needs is 1'x4" of air input and it runs really hot there a loverly orange red flame compared to a yellow flame that means the air flow is hot
it also rises high as well on very little sticks

as shown with these pics
all ive done is extended mine out enough in an angle to slide the wood down so it excepts wood splinter lengths of 9-10" length that goes through the 4" up riser

the user built what i suggested via the pic but as im aware of spitting wood its where i suggest using a door on it it works out better anyway as you get full flow of air under your wood

So what's the difference between an I type or K type? Does the length of the air intake have an effect?

I'm making some at the minute, no plans as such I just used what steel I had and what looked right lol.
But can give you measurements if you want them, pics in stuff you have made today

theres no point going down the names of the rocket stove as they are all based around a j type rocket stove

j type stoves is flames going through the wood and up through the riser
with the input of secondary air this improves the stove and also allows you to fit a door on the wood feed

if you was to go down a vortex stove it suffers wear on the steel due to the spinning of flames inside of it therefore it needs to be insulated

if secondary air travels below the firebox sticks it picks up the heat from the firebox

with gritineyes video or pic it dosnt its direct cold air whilst it does expand when heated it also cools

preheated air within many types of builds including those for melting aluminium will make the stove hotter

so you know

esse, aga, rayburn all have patents that superceed many of the chinese patents

however theres one that superceeds even the rayburn, esse and aga cooker stoves and that is freeware unless they all want to pay the family there backdated patent rights payments

this pic predates any rocket stove design and was the very first rocket stove

im glad that you listened and also viewed what was being advised to you

though i do like your ash clean out at the rear of it
