Just finished it this morning.
A couple more pics......
Cutting the end of the drawbar with the plasma to weld on the towing eye.
The towing eye is a bit of 20mm plate again cut with the plasma
All stuck on
A bearing from underneath
All done
Just getting an idea on the weight...it was over 130kg and i think it will take around 140kg of water so 270'ish kg.
Filling it up as per Pidgeon chit's suggestion.
First go with it
Not looking too bad....the stuff that looks like bits of chopped up carpet is exactly that but they call it fibre.
I think it should really be a bit more mixed in than that...which is done with a rake/harrow type thing.
The sand is also a bit dry at the mo due to the weather so that affects it all as well.
It seemed to tow ok and was easy enough to reverse.
I did a couple of tight circles with it to see if it would leave ridges but nothing...only the marks from the front wheels.
As i was using it, i was on the lookout for sand sticking to the roller to show any water leaks...but nothing so that was good.
