Yes both front panel versions Pulse up to 5Khz.
180 amps on Tig and 140 amps on MMA from 115v supply

I've got a job for it already lol. That's gonna be a hell of a lot more compact than a handy tig to do handrails on stairwells.

I imagine wire feeding would use up a fair bit of battery.

200 amps on Tig 180 amps on MMA on 230v.
Nah T220 only goes to 2Khz.
The V series now goes to 20Khz but I personally didn’t see any major benefit as is advertised by some other manufacturers with 20Khz Pulse

I don’t think the current battery technology would have a meaningful use for Mig/Mag applications just yet. You’d have to have a battery so Big it would detract from portability which was the whole aim of Battery powered welding, but you never know in the future
Surprised how many of the stands seemed to be populated by disinterested looking reps staring at their mobiles, especially the Far East areas.
Hundreds of similar boxes with varying amounts of knobs and displays.
Esab and EWM stands had a real buzz (excuse the pun) around them.
Got chatting to who I later realised was one of the bosses, I think, of GYS France .
I was there as I was visiting the American village but it took a good day to see it all. Made some good contacts but came away wondering who it was really aimed at. Indentity crisis there?

Unfortunately I didn’t get much chance to have a wander around, but highlights for me...
The Collaborative robots-wow! We had one on our stand, but I noticed many other companies did too. I think these will be the new buzz word for a long time to come. They have low weight and low mass and require no guarding or to be locked away in a cell. They are designed to work along side humans, but what’s most impressive is how easy and simple they are to program. You can press a button to release the break, which in effect makes the robot arm like a mannequin, so you can physically manipulate the robot arm with your hands exactly where you want it and then save that position as a way point. You can go from nothing to welding in a matter of 1-2 minutes, it’s unbelievable.
Aside from little Novelties such as our Battery powered Tig welder there didn’t seem any ground breaking “you have to go and see this on stand XYZ” moments. From what I saw there was many nice and really well designed stands but the content was a little same old same old or the same internals in a new housing but with exactly the same welding results as before.
Automation seemed to be a big topic with many manufacturers pushing mechanisation, Automation and Robotics in a big way, manual welding seemed to take a bit of a back seat.
Industry 4.0 solutions was also a major topic from ourselves and everyone else who I visited but again, at this point it’s more just about gathering welding data and quality data in real time from multiple welding machines/stations and storing the information on a cloud. Very clever in the way it’s done but hard to get excited about.
Some really impressive stands from ESAB, Binzel and Fronius (all of them were huge and presented very nicely)
Some quite disappointing stands but this is only my opinion and would be wrong to name them.
From Lorch’s point of view globally it has been on face value atleast hugely successful where by we exceeded our lead generation target on 4 out of the 5 days, but as regards to British/Irish visitors who would directly benefit/effect me it was a little less than I would of expected. Many people I spoke to in the UK didn’t even realise the exhibtion was taking place, so I’ll ensure the event is better publicised next time round

I will definitely be going next time. I've been following what's going on through Esab, fronius and Kempis Facebook pages.
What made me laugh was in every post kemppi were saying how the X8 has stolen the show. Well apart from it's wireless pendant With Bluetooth and NFC I can't see it does anymore than the top of the range fastmig.
I saw fronius had a few robotics set up. Their stand looked excellent and was absolutely huge.
ESAB stand was nicely presented as you say. I like that they had live subarc demonstrations.
A lot of Far East visitors it seems.
I think in regards to the Uk lot being absent, were all too busy working our butts off and being taxed to death to take a break, but that's another matter.
