Nice to see another Scope owner or two out there! Somehow one made it over to rural California and I was lucky enough to find her. Only missing bit is the cable mechanism that actuates the ratchet feed mechanism on the crossslide from the tailstock lever. Mine was in great shape and cleaned up real nice. A before and after of mine
I’m happy to share other photos and whatnot, I’ve had mine completely disassembled, hit me up with a dm.

What an amazing machine, I hope you can post some pictures of the restoration.
Bit of an update, Winter upon us & working in the shed where its warm. I am in the position where i have too much stuff & to work on something or to get something in, something has to go out the door. So this week in order to have a go at the Boley, i have had to get the Scope off the floor where it has sat for months. This meant cutting up a rickety bench & welding a new one up out of 60x40 box section steel to take the scope lathe, This also meant uncovering the compressor which lives under it & cleaning it & then a major clean up! Today i got the Scope onto its bench. My Trusty Tangye engine crane made light work but unfortunately even with the jib right out & only just reached one end onto the bench. And so ensued some jiggery pokery with another block & tackle & some lashings to allow the lathe to go further than the hook would allow. All accomplished well & no fingers lost & nothing dropped on the floor. H&S inspectors look away now!
And then once sat on its bed i find that the countershaft assembly hangs out the back rather too much, like 2.5 inches., Grrrr. And so I will cut a hole in the wall for it to go into. I will make a fibreglass blister to go on the outside to keep the rain out.

I'm trying to fix an old scope and can't get the rods from the castings, information will be much appropriated!

Its finally on its baseplate, I had to chop out a great chunk of the concrete garage wall & window frame to allow the countershaft pulley to go back in its locked out tight position. There is now a 2 1/2" deep blister glued to the wall with sikaflex. Fortunately its hidden by the forge outside.
It has become apparent that its slotting & shaping capability is very likely to become very useful on a few projects.
