Had another go and now used the radius DRO setting instead of the diameter setting and victory , did a test with prussian blue and very happy with the result on the test piece! Blued the chamfer in the testblock and then seated the collet, got blue marks nearly all the length of the taper.

I watched a similar ut video the other day, using Sine. Like yourself I have great difficulty in understanding angles, I’d never heard of Dyscalculia before

I've been having troubles with numbers and stuff all my life, but not since my daughter got diagnosed with discalculia I've realized I might have some mild form of it, always thought I was just dumb . Who knows, I might have become a rocket scientist if someone picked up on it when i was young and gave me the proper therapy .

If im working to an angle i cant compare then use laws of sine as your diagram
Travel the hypotenuse 50mm and expect the see the perpendicular to the axis distance move in a predetermined amount. 12....mm



Your diagram looks incorrect, of you can draw in cad print it as a PDF with no scaling
