This is my set up for, primarily, my woodturning tools. It's a slow speed Axminster grinder with 200mm diamond, 40mm wide CBN wheels, fine on the left and coarse on the right. I did have a Sorby ProEdge system until I tried a CBN wheel on a cheap grinder - have since sold that on sadly as it would be ideal for the OP!
CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) wheels balanced alloy with the CBN abrasive bonded to the surface. Virtually no heat build-up!
Paul Sellers on YouTube has some great videos on sharpening chisels using a sheet of float glass using wet and dry paper.
I presume the chisel is sharpened end on to the grinding wheel - does this not create a slightly radiused cutting edge?
