Shotblasting cabinet visibility problem

I find with my Dyson DC04 that the very light dust settles in the inner vortex, the heavier bits round the edge of the drum. The very heavy bits stay in the pipe. Troubel is the Dyson doesn't hold much.

I had a setup using an old plastic cold water tank, I put a rubber (Metro door) seal round the top and had wooden lid with 2 holes in it. One went to the vacuum cleaner, the other to the hose. When the cleaner was switched on the vacuum held the lid down.

rtbcomp, we used to use a 45 gallon drum ,did u ever collapse the sides on a the water tank ?,we did on the steel drum .......scared the s**t outta us just a noise really ,we made the joints a little less airtight after tho

You could see them moving in a bit, but didn't get a total collapse. The tank had internal webs and it was stepped halfway up so that would have given it some strength.
