I'd say about 3" jaws and weighing about 16-17 lbs .....

3” is correct, I’ve no idea what it weighed as it was picked up today. I clean them up and sell them as a sideline, there’s not really much money in it but it lets me see old and unusual vices

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I've just been offered a Palermo No41 vice for £30, and all appears good with it. No clue on value so is that too much or should I go for it?

Kind of like a Stanley #1 Plane, it could be a rare Sales Man's sample, but the socket head screws makes one wonder about its age ?

It's exactly the same as a modern Swindens, even down to the crappy alignment key. The main section with anvil looks to have been milled from a solid lump, perhaps the original casting broke. Not sure when they stopped making that size one though.

It would have been good to have then, but it now looks like the Richard Cranium on Facebay has gone silent after agreeing for me to pick it up yesterday Facebay definitely sucks!

It's a woden 189c/2.. iny info will much appreciated thanks like paint etc.. thanks..

Looks like a Cam lock wood workers vice.
The British made would indicate post 1950.

I guess that the old moulds were re-used to try and get export sales. Hence the change from Made in England, to British Made.

Paint?

Not too familiar with Woden vices, but someone more knowledge will most likely chime in shortly.
