A cube has six sides and you can dish all of them , some with two or more holes if it is large enough .You can even make one out of old ply
Cut say for eg 200mm squares glue and screw altogether through the faces to form a cube(sits better that way on a bench etc),then hollow out your dishes(for want of a better word) you'll be surprised how tough the end grain of ply is,you'll have only 4 sides of course,so 4 different dish shapes
Handy bit of kit , I'd keep the side handle on the angle grinder whilst using it .......... two hands holding it are better than one ?@Chris152 How about something like this? Learn two skills at once, shaping and angry grinder control....

You're not going to dish out the sides that you've screwed together(thats the faces),as said, you dish out the end edge of the ply ie 4 sidesA cube has six sides and you can dish all of them , some with two or more holes if it is large enough .
Cut the bottom of a gas bottle off and use the convex dish in the base to hammer in to.By all means share, ones interested
I'd consider a set of eight counter sunk clamping bolts and washers or four well recessed & made 1/4 x 2 inch thick steel band clamps to hold the block together before it splits , too much .I had a go at this lump of oak yesterday, it's about 1" deep in the centre and needs refining, works fine as is but we'll develop the shape as we find out how it works. Then on to the other sides to make four or six. In the end I used an angle grinder with 40 grit flap disc, really quick/ easy to remove stock and worked fine with the guard in place.

I was thinking about flooding the cracks with epoxy, do you reckon that'd work as well?I'd consider a set of eight counter sunk clamping bolts and washers or four well recessed & made 1/4 x 2 inch thick steel band clamps to hold the block together before it splits , too much .
Why not , so long as you brace it as in my previous incase it gets damp , swells & splits even more as it dried out .I was thinking about flooding the cracks with epoxy, do you reckon that'd work as well?
