Crikey, why all the hysteria against inverters? suitably rated they will do the job fine, and if the comparative machine costs allow, they aren't always an 'expensive' solution.

Buying an inverter for that size of machine, even a 240v output one, will hardly be worth while. At least a couple of hundred quid.

Now getting a 3ph to 3ph inverter as a speed control for a bigger machine - now they are cheap as chips, and well worth getting. But only if you have a 3ph supply, obviously.

My reply was probably more of a general observation than it should have been for this post.

Having had a look at the listing, I agree, it doesn't warrant the cost of an inverter, given the current bid and the general condition of the item.
