i think id look for a cheap second hand compressor and link the tank,
I cant see how to get the crank out to clean it up...i cant see how to remove pistons or con rod and struggling to find anything on you tube for this type of compressor .
Any suggestions folk?
That looks like the only way to do it. But 1. How do you remove the bearings each end and 2 why it such an antiquated system...lol
No i cant find my pullers. I will take photos but it has a bearing inside a bearing cover one on each side...
I actually know it makes sense to buy the ct388 of ebay in the long run but i have overspent just lately......need to tighten my belt.

I had the same problem with a compressor I bought, took crank out and found it scored, tried to get it ground but local engine refurb place didn't have a grinding wheel narrow enough to fit between the crank webs and the fact bearing shells weren't available in oversize.
In the end gave up and bought replacement pump.
