Slightly Undercutting, how to stop it?

its 10mm to 25mm the pieces are too thick for 1 pass as for the decrease in power,after the first pass the metal will be to hot to continue with same amps,if its too hot you will get undercut.if it was my joind i would bevel both pieces the 25mm more & it will be 3-5 passes. just me.

I think your comments are a little harsh have you looked where Greek is from and that english is not his first tonque.
But I also would do a 3run on that thickness plus a run on the other side if poss to help stop weld pull.

The amount of runs you are putting in has absolutely no effect on whether you get undercut or not, this is mainly down to parameter selection and welder technique

I did not say it would stop undercut. I merely said on that section I would probably 3run it as Greek mentioned

You need the 2 edges of the join cleaner for a beginner to weld on for a start. Use angle grinder.
Mid weld towards end, fine but too much current.
On the left of the pic, (dark upper edge) is this a gap and you have been trying to fill it by pushing the rod into the weld? I may be wrong tho.
