Small rechargeable vacuum cleaner?

I tend to be the same with everything, nowadays. Not necessarily because any of the cheaper things I've had have been bad, but rather because dearer equipment is generally more refined, & nicer to use.

With my experience in the world the sooner you get to the point where you buy the right/best unit to start with the better off you'll be. Normally they will be nicer to use, perform better and last longer.

The whole "Why would buy one for £100 when I could buy 10 £10 ones and chuck them away" really bugs me. The world is in enough trouble as it is. I fully understand that buying a quality item isn't always an option for many people but very often you'll those end up spending the same amount.

See how many people who buy £50-90 pressure washers have actually had 4-5 of them and still go down the "if it fails I'll buy a new one" route.

The best stuff isn't even always the most expensive, I have no idea why anyone pays top money for a a vacuum for their workshop when you see Henrys all day every day for £30-40 on Facebook.

I could not, for love nor money, use a secondhand vacuum. Other peoples germs & muck. No thankyou.

This is just it though. It's not a case of just buying an expensive unit.

It's not always the same for everything. For an item you rarely use a budget item may be 100% fine. But for one you use all the time you want the best.

I've tried to buy reasonable pressure washers but really they're all basically the same unless you step out of the consumer market.

Starting from Bilbao, Northern Spain, Portugal, Spain and France, all being well.
This was first booked in Summer 2019.
Tyres, chain and sprockets and a few bits to be fitted before the off in April.

Nice setup. We're off the TET but up a dirt road so lots of passing dirt bikes- not sure if we're on the ACT, I need to check.

I've had off roadish bikes here, so little traffic, it's a paradise for bikes. Have a great trip.

Very pleased with our Gtech Air ram 2. £99 at Lidl. Bought daughter at uni a £100 Bosch one from John Lewis in the sale. It's OK - middle bit detaches to use as a hand held- but Gtech has much better suction.

Went off the little Dyson - battery life was dire and now it’s died completely. Thinking back, it also cut off after about 20 seconds on high power- maybe it was faulty?

I've got three Dyson V6's, all skip finds. Only one didn't work properly when I got it, it pulsed rather than ran continuously. I emptied it, washed the filter and it's back to how it should be. I like them, but they are only used for lifting swept up stuff off smooth floors.

I'm not sure the quality of Dysons has gone down, more than the complexity has gone up so they need more tweaking more often. Excepting the first one I bought in the 1990s they've all, a couple of dozen or so I think, been free to me, generally needed a clean and tweak. Mostly they get given away.

The few times I have had issues the help line is first class, I have fitted a Generic battery to most of ours and had no issues, only one motor failed after about 5 years.
In general many Dyson's are thrown away rather than repaired.
Nice old couple who lived locally asked me if they are worth the money, I said hang on a few days, bloke at the tip gave me two non runners, one was blocked other cable had failed going in to plug, stripped and cleaned them gave her one for upstair sand one for down, she was over the moon all for free.

That sound like a blockage or possibly a faulty motor

We bought the GTECH Mk2 Upright and hand held K9 (heavy duty) vacuum cleaners, really good bits of kit.

Must be at least 5 years old, in daily use and still going strong.

We have a Ryobi 18v vac, isn't bad for the odd cleanup. Battery lasts a long time. Filters are like the rest; a ripoff. A bit Filter mat held on with a laggy band stops it blocking up.
