I tend to be the same with everything, nowadays. Not necessarily because any of the cheaper things I've had have been bad, but rather because dearer equipment is generally more refined, & nicer to use.
With my experience in the world the sooner you get to the point where you buy the right/best unit to start with the better off you'll be. Normally they will be nicer to use, perform better and last longer.
The whole "Why would buy one for £100 when I could buy 10 £10 ones and chuck them away" really bugs me. The world is in enough trouble as it is. I fully understand that buying a quality item isn't always an option for many people but very often you'll those end up spending the same amount.
See how many people who buy £50-90 pressure washers have actually had 4-5 of them and still go down the "if it fails I'll buy a new one" route.
The best stuff isn't even always the most expensive, I have no idea why anyone pays top money for a a vacuum for their workshop when you see Henrys all day every day for £30-40 on Facebook.
