Was going to get a defender or isuzu trooper but decided against it did need another landy draining my pockets (love but one is enough). Isuzu trooper if I could get a swb or lwb comercial in good nick would have been great. Van was just easier though as I got a good trade in price from a dealership and got the van from there too. Also made the decision as sis was needing a small car to practice driving in.You know you want it- all ready built for you...

Probably but will start small and work up to that. Ideal situation would be a trailer for the pickup. But don't have a place to store it. Bare essentials kept in the pickup always trailer hooked up for larger jobs.
Probably know someone she is related too.
Ex electricity supply board Van's can be got dirt cheap in the auctions over here, no one wants them because they normally have high mileage and are a horrible shade of yellow. They're normally very well maintained though. My ex boss used to by them and would normally make more money selling the pto gennys on ebay than what he'd make selling on the van, putting the words "camper conversion" in the ad would bump the price upThe ex utilities vans are good value as not many folk want them, quite often low mileage, racked out, wash basins and a lot of them have pto underfloor genny`s/compressors. Just saying.

I was generally after the big 4x4 vans for thier towing capacity as they were the only ones with decent ones. Ended up with the pickup for that though so have plenty ability to tow stuff if I need too.Get some at’s and learn how to drive in wet fields you won’t need 4x4
That looks as though its well looked after and very nicely done.Mate has done a similar thing with a Transit Connect
Has his roll cab and top box bolted down in the back plus trolley jack etc
Really looks after it and done some nice mods too

the new crafters are VW and all new... good vans, I have heard of service issues with MAN... agents more interested in dealing with the fleet players and trucksThe new crafters are nice looking vans though I think I'd go to man for one instead of vw if I were to have got one. If im right the old crafters were just rebodied sprinters.

Where I live at the moment is completely safe you can still leave your house front door or shed unlocked all day and nothing will go walkies. But this would allow me if ever somewhere less safe just too remove everything of value quickly and dump it in a garage.I leave nothing in any of my vans overnight.
But it does depend on where you live to some extent !
Do a lot of other jobs, fencing, handrails etc and do quite a lot of mountain biking and other outdoor sports so I'd like too keep the pickups loadbay fairly flexible if possible. What would you have to carry in the pick up bed?
Trying too de clutter a bit as I have completely run out of room.1. This would require almost 2 sets of tools unless I want too faff around spending loads of time unloading and reloading anything. Not economically viable and I really need too cut down on the excess of tools I appear too have.
Excess of tools?
No, still don't get what you mean.
