I envy you lot with solid fuel heating, we had a Parkray for many years. The house was always warm, the main structure was warm as it ran 24 hours a day, yes it needed work to keep it alight as a trade off. A jacket potato wrapped in foil in the ash box for a couple of hours for supper, can’t beat it, onions also worked well. It eventually started to leak, so I changed it for a gas Baxi, but it never felt the same.
