They would be fine, for small work (patching or blending an edge) but I wouldn't use one on a whole door or a wing, you could but I think "my thoughts" too much effort to try it.

Bought a cheap sealey large gun to spray primer but it was really poor and too big but may just be me.
These small guns are great the pot is big enough to do one wheel at a time, i spray the primer through it too, only 0.8 needle size but i thin down the primer and do a couple of coats with it,
The gun can be easily taken apart to clean out. i love them for the money, i mey invest in a more expensive one but for small jobs they are great
