hiya just a quick update..I've got some of the croma rods recommended by TIG Paul and just wanted to say Thank you very much Mr, they are fab!
Can you possibly also recommend a normal all position mild steel electrode which has a good strong arc as the replacement I bought for my old pack is absolute pants??
It is a E6013 from machine mart, bog standard 2mm mild steel..flux looks a different colour to previous ones though and does not hold arc well at all..very stuttery.
I'm currently using the croma rod to weld mild steel too as it's so nice and smooth! Yeh I know it's expensive but it's better than faffing with the other rubbish ones at the moment.
