Start-up Polishing machine / kit

I want to start polishing bit and pieces. Aluminium cases for my bike and getting scrathes out of acrylic etc.

My bench grinder is an old job and has a threaded spindle which doesn't seem compatible with the adaptors available..

I've seen this on ebay...

Need a bigger motor on the grinder, it would stall when you try to "lean" on it.

I agree using something like that is very frustrating as it just isn't powerful enough always stalling and over heat my 8inch bench grinder gets that hot you can't put your hand on it and hold it there, hence why I am looking for something better suited

Have a search online theres usually a few places that sell to the trade ie mops and soap. They will advice which mops and soap to use.

I'm a bit late but is not cheaper to buy a 2hp motor and then put the arbor on?

That seems a lot to for something that doesn't even have a power switch / flex / plug attached

Just had a quick look and you could save nearly £40 buying them separately from sellers who do free postage

Where do I start ??

What size mops should I buy ?? I'm guessing that the larger ones are good for doing larger surfaces and the smaller mops work into the detail ?? Corners etc ????



Different colour cutting compounds etc... ????

I guess the only way to learn is to try out the different mops and compounds....
