Storing blast media

I made a special trip to the shed before I forgot. The soda is stored in a used premix plasterboard filler bucket and is slightly clumpy but shakes back to a free flowing powder. I bought it, 25kgs, from the local baker and it turned out much cheaper than geting from a blasting supplier.

I like soda for cleaning corroded electrical connectors on vehicles. I'll look at the condition of mine later, it's been stored undisturbed in a lidded tub in an unheated shed for a couple of years now.

Checked mine yesterday only to find a solid lump, I only ever used it for cleaning electrical contacts on cars before coating with Connector Protector

My soda is a lump too, it came from an agricultural merchant and was also cheap. (Like me)
I'll see if I can revive it by forcing it through a sieve.

Barkeepers Friend is very good stuff. If you have a Home Bargains or Savers near you it's only £1.50 a bottle. Fairy Power Spray is very good too. It's a bit hard to find at the big supermarkets atm but I stocked up at Savers for £2 a bottle last week.
