The last one was a NAPPA, never buying one of those again!
I might have a new vauxhall one but will need to try and find some part numbers, you sure it's not the battery?Woke up this morning, went to my car (bearing in mind I parked it up after a 110 mile round trip the night before) and it started justr fine, alternator had packed up , again, this is the third one in four years I am fed up with it, unfortunately the alternator also drives the power steering, revved it a bit and it worked so set off, almost made the three miles too but drove back needing the arms of Garth. I had little alternative as I really needed it today, came back well full also. Going to find out exactly when I bought the last one as I am thinking it is less than twelve months ago. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which make to go for this time around?

Still be worth checking the battery, its battery killing weather at the momentCertain, thealternator drives the power steering, or not as in todays fiasco, ABS light was coming on and everything.
I fixed the outdoor storage.

Mrs Robo had spotted one at a garden centre, but I found it cheaper to go direct to Keter, plus as a first order I got an extra 10% off
I can recommend Keter products, well made and easy to assemble.
I've got some Keter Stacking toolboxes - good stuff. Way cheaper than DeWalt & other big branded alternatives as well.I fixed the outdoor storage.

Glad you got it fixed. Was the boiler on whilst the delivery took place? Although the gunge at the bottom of the tank sits there doing nothing, when a tank is settled, it gets stirred up something rotten when oil is delivered. I keep our boiler off for a good couple of hours, during and after the delivery, and check the tank with a torch for floaters, before restarting the boiler.I spent a happy hour or two working out why my oil ch boiler kept cutting out afterc work tonight (I've had an oil delivery yesterday).
It worked OK last evening.
Long story short, after attempts to bleed air out, & checking tank filter etc - I worked out that the long feed line seemed to be blocked. I disconnected the line after the tank filter... and then got my 100L portable compressor out & used it to blow back the fuel line from the boiler end back to shift any obstruction.
Messy, not v environmentally friendly (but it's cold & we want heating & hot water!).... but it did the trick. Boiler bled up easily afterwards, and the house is warm![]()
Missus left it about an hour after delivery. Mind you they rocket the stuff in with those big hoses, so any crud in the bottom might stay in suspension longer than an hour perhaps?Glad you got it fixed. Reminds me of a trailer my dad bought at an auction. First time I used it a wheel folded in on the first bump I hit.so i bought a new trailer for moving the quad about. it was a farm auction buy (along with a spare wheel for my lorry) so i took a gamble. it was £35 so not a bad deal, even with its issues.
but its definitely going to need at least one tyre...

date coded 1991..... got to be the oldest tyre i've ever used. and yes, i towed it home like that. was a bit butt pucker-y.
the trailer is also not quite long enough, not quite wide enough and rusty. very very rusty.
i thought i took before pics, but obviously not.
after needle gunning revealed it wasn't just a couple of pin holes...

its solid again but the front x-member is unsalvageable. it was full of black nasty water, as it sits nose down and there's nowhere for the water to go.
unfortunately its the weekend and there is nowhere for me to get steel, so its going the be a next week job to put it back together, much to my disgust.
