I like that, is the centre of your flower made from an old satellite dish? If it is i've got one of them that I cut up to make eyes for the dragon fly but they were too big for it.

How big is your dragonfly? The one i'm currently making I used stainless steel sieve for the eyes.

Nah patience not a problem - it was ages ago that I did it, but from memory that bit only took about a half hour. I Really don't mind doing fussy jobs like that, as long as I'm not at it for hours of course!

I've got some old punched flat bar with round bar uprights (some of which will become stems) that I will use for the fence. I welded a piece of tube to the back of the centre that fits over the round bar nicely.

I can't make my mind up about what to do about a coating, I certainly don't want them painting. With the petals being made from 22swg I'm worried that they'll just rot to nothing if I leave them to rust. I think that yellow galv coating would look good but I don't know much about it.
