what size cable supply to your garage and length from house
Fired up one pump lovely I flicked it off after 30 secs as I was worried about the noise but then thought stuff it so tried again and it popped the fuse in the plug
I honestly don't know bright spark, iv just moved in, all I can see is it's coming on a pipe from the back bedroom... at 3 metres maximum.what size cable supply to your garage and length from house
I did think that so undone the big bolt in the end of the tank. Although slipping the belt is a blinder... I'll crack on that tommorow. Cheers. If you are just testing the motors, leave the tank drain valve open so it is not building pressure as that will reduce current draw a little. Also, if the motor is belted to the compressor, slip off the belt(s) as that will also reduce current draw.
That's a result. Still a C curve for both?you can up the breaker in the house to a 25 amp on a 2.5mm cable that feeds garage and max breaker in garage the same if needed
yes c type. 3hp motors run at about 12 amps full load current so you may get away with itThat's a result. Still a C curve for both?
I'm guessing I'm pushing my luck attempting to run both motors??
Happy days...
Well my screwfix order has arrived just in time for the long weekend... unfortunately my capacitor hasn't turnt up yet so it's only one motor at a time. But happy days.yes c type. 3hp motors run at about 12 amps full load current so you may get away with it.
yes it will blow 13 amp fuses on start up . fit the blue 16 amp socket and use the 20 amp breaker the socket can handle the load no probsSo excellent news... both motors/ pumps work independently, I am still waiting on my 30uf capacitor to attempt running both with my contacts and timer...
Next question is I am bosching through 13amp fuses so can I install a 16amp plug and a dedicated switch/socket off my 20 amp breaker?
Many thanks. Hope you are all enjoying Easter.
Cheers bright spark thank you.yes it will blow 13 amp fuses on start up . fit the blue 16 amp socket and use the 20 amp breaker the socket can handle the load no probs
