Sounds easy...but will this fill deep cracks maybe 60mm deep X 25mm wide?
Nope 40mm is the maximum for overbanding.

Oh, the patch is falling out inside a month, but it won't be repaired within six months, more like a couple of years.six months is pretty good.
I've seen some around here last 1-2 weeks.
They're all over the place in my town, grooves, loose gravel, and wierd shaped holes. It's scary riding a motorcycle, so I can't imagine what skinny bicycle tyres are like.My sister in law has just come off her bike & broken her elbow due to an unsealed joint breaking up. She was turning right & where the two halves of the road had been tarmaced separately it had broken out & she dropped the wheel into the groove It left. I Understand it was about 3 inches deep. Bit like the old joke “there is a hole in the road & the council are looking into it”
Let it stay here. But the welds are pretty rough.Band seal is hot pouring and used with an iron. Just clean out the cracks with a broom. Brush...heat..pour and drag the iron...
The basic basis of asphalt from bitumen has not disappeared anywhere. Advanced formulas include grafted rubber-like thermoplastic polymers. The long molecules of synthetic rubbers eliminate softening in hot weather and cracking in winter. Billions of old PET polymer bottles can also be grafted and melted in bitumen.Coal tar has been banned due to it containing carcinogens modern tarmac or asphalt and paving related products are bitumen based or possibly some now being synthetic
Used to see it done with a metal watering can heated up over a flame, is that still a thing? ive a few wide cracks in some concrete that want filling so thought that might be a solution for meBand seal is hot pouring and used with an iron. MS sealant, for cracks in concrete, works well. Compensates for temperature, excellent adhesion. Expand cracks with a diamond disc, remove dust, dry concrete.Used to see it done with a metal watering can heated up over a flame, is that still a thing? ive a few wide cracks in some concrete that want filling so thought that might be a solution for me
Yes. Metal watering can. Get the stuff nice a hot...then let it cool a bit..then pour...give it a few minutes then go over it again until its full...and just a warning do not mix or get any water near hot bitumen...it has a chemical reaction and its a nasty oneUsed to see it done with a metal watering can heated up over a flame, is that still a thing? ive a few wide cracks in some concrete that want filling so thought that might be a solution for me
Just heard from my brother, S-i-L has been in A&E until 4 this morning because her leg swollen up, having X-rays & now found she has a broken leg & cellulitis due to infection from a graze. My sister in law has just come off her bike & broken her elbow due to an unsealed joint breaking up. You don't need Tarmac in their world....Lol at this - going back to our friends at just stop oil - how would you make tarmac?
