Land Rover - turning drivers into mechanics since 1948.Its not a form of transport ,,, its a way of life.
Fixed that for you.Land Rover - changing their own fluids since 1948.
I know, said it many times, when I changed the D2 I really really wanted a D4 but horrific tales of wallet emptying on a regular basis made head overrule heart and went for a Freelander 2 instead. I don't need the 7 seats and with most journeys done solo it's plenty big enough. I do miss the massive load space occasionally but 5 years and nearly 90000 miles in and it's been fantastically reliable. 2 intercooler hoses and 2 boot release switches is all its needed over and above routine servicing, which I do myself. Dread to think what a D4 would have needed in that time.an entire hobby too ,,,
think yourself lucky it wasnt anything later ,,, the D2s are the peak , downhill after that ,,, well more of a roll down the slope , the hill was never that high to start with.
