Until they drop a grenade on your headI think drones make wonderful practice targets.

Have you seen the video on UT where a soldier laid in a trench swipes a grenade [dropped from a drone] away with his hand, exploding nearby. A second lands at his back but didnt explode. One very lucky bunny that day.Until they drop a grenade on your head
I have stopped watching them - really horrific. No doubt many of the Russians deserve it the way they have behaved but there are plenty who really don't want to fight either.Have you seen the video on UT where a soldier laid in a trench swipes a grenade [dropped from a drone] away with his hand, exploding nearby. My Mini is a great little drone and as you say has fantastic video quality......but not so good in a bit of wind. If there is a sudden change in weather I ground mine. The props starting clicking, there very light and flexible and must hit each other slightly. Now my Mantis Q is something else, slightly bigger and heavier but surperb in a strong breeze. Very fast too. I've had mine to over 530m for a short test and it just loves to hover . The G version and it's 3 axis gimbal is much better but batterys are hard to get now. I'm not spending any more money on them now. I fly the Disco's most often and the XK with a Firefly camera is more than adequate for video work, although the props still need a balance. The un-educated about drones think my DJI Mini is a toy..when they see it fly and the tech built into these things it soon changes there views, even more so when they see in detail every part of there roof and chimney that they have never seen.
I also have the DJI Mavic Mini. The only drawback of such a small drone is that it is very weather dependent when you can fly. They don’t like flying in anything more than a moderate breeze. The un-educated about drones think my DJI Mini is a toy..when they see it fly and the tech built into these things it soon changes there views, even more so when they see in detail every part of there roof and chimney that they have never seen.
Apologies for being off topicThey are the main reason for the loss of so many R.U.P.P.,s . Also they are the dream of most ramblers who use the damage caused by 4x4's to justify closures. The m/c brigade also have a part to play but no where near as damaging. Speaking as an off road rider/competitor of 60 years 'standing' .
Admittedly my terminology is out of date and the law has changed for the worse but I stand by my assertation that the 4x4 growth has been a big contributory factor in the loss of land access . As usual it is the small % of selfish and uncaring users that are the problem.Apologies for being off topic
If I have my terminology right, RUPP was a Road Used as a Public Path, under the NERC act back in 2006 ish, all RUPPs were downgraded to Restricted Byways (RB) and vehicular access lost
The other change was if a road was listed as dual purpose then the lesser access took precident removing vehicular rights
Legally you can only drive/ride 'Byways Open to All Traffic' (BOATS), certain 'Other Routes with Public Access' (ORPA) and 'Unclassified Country Roads' (UCR's)
Under NERC a significant number of motorised public rights of way were lost when they reclassified RUPPs to RB and lesser access taking precendent
Good point, I had forgotten what this was all aboutI wonder if all this has helped @doubleboost in making a decision?
More likely opened a vein, the poor wee manHe's gone to sleep with you lot droning on and on
What made you decide to go for the mini3 in the end?I have bought a DJI mini drone 3 .
Had a short flight in the garden very impressed .
The camera is really good .
