Have you seen the video on UT where a soldier laid in a trench swipes a grenade [dropped from a drone] away with his hand, exploding nearby. A second lands at his back but didnt explode. One very lucky bunny that day.Until they drop a grenade on your head
I have stopped watching them - really horrific. No doubt many of the Russians deserve it the way they have behaved but there are plenty who really don't want to fight either.

I suspect that decent Russian people are in the majority, but their opinion is irrelevant to those in power.
My Mini is a great little drone and as you say has fantastic video quality......but not so good in a bit of wind. If there is a sudden change in weather I ground mine. The props starting clicking, there very light and flexible and must hit each other slightly. Now my Mantis Q is something else, slightly bigger and heavier but surperb in a strong breeze. Very fast too. I've had mine to over 530m for a short test and it just loves to hover . The G version and it's 3 axis gimbal is much better but batterys are hard to get now. I'm not spending any more money on them now. I fly the Disco's most often and the XK with a Firefly camera is more than adequate for video work, although the props still need a balance.

I also have the DJI Mavic Mini. The only drawback of such a small drone is that it is very weather dependent when you can fly. They don’t like flying in anything more than a moderate breeze.
Edit: Also had an issue when paired to an older iPhone SE which kept loosing contact with the drone. Newer iPhone has been fine though.
Been looking into getting a drone for some footage on the bikes/trucks.
Was liking the look of the dji mini se and the mini 2.
Both can be had with extra batteries etc for sub £500.
Which would be an expensive enough start but hopefully a point where I will get past the proper cheap and won't need to upgrade for a while.

Apologies for being off topic
If I have my terminology right, RUPP was a Road Used as a Public Path, under the NERC act back in 2006 ish, all RUPPs were downgraded to Restricted Byways (RB) and vehicular access lost
The other change was if a road was listed as dual purpose then the lesser access took precident removing vehicular rights
Legally you can only drive/ride 'Byways Open to All Traffic' (BOATS), certain 'Other Routes with Public Access' (ORPA) and 'Unclassified Country Roads' (UCR's)
Under NERC a significant number of motorised public rights of way were lost when they reclassified RUPPs to RB and lesser access taking precendent

Admittedly my terminology is out of date and the law has changed for the worse but I stand by my assertation that the 4x4 growth has been a big contributory factor in the loss of land access . As usual it is the small % of selfish and uncaring users that are the problem.

My son-in-law uses a drone as well as a range of photography equipment, not only for weddings but also as one of the event crew for things like the Great North Run.
Came in handy when some pikey scammer knocked on my mother's door... working in the area... noticed problem with chimney... fix it... £200 blah blah.
Thanks for the tip, quoth the matriarch and phoned her grand-daughter's hubby who popped round, spun up the drone and proved what a lying sack of cack the guy was.
Surprised more roofing surveys don't get carried out
