I have exactly the same one only my lid is cracked the 4mm hex is broken

This thread started me thinking about an impact driver that I used to have. Like most people, I've a couple of Vessel, hex-bit drivers

But what has been a recurring source of annoyance has been one using long bits, that I lent to someone in the distant past, that never returned.

I've looked online many times to try to identify it, without luck. Finally I opened the case and discovered the instructions in there. Still no manufacturer's name, but I found a model number - 2600.

From there it took me about 10 seconds to identify it as a Vessel as well. Also sold as Unicorn, in the US.
There seem to be few in the UK, but lots in the US.
Search saved on ebay for the next one to come up.

I bought extra bits for mine a couple of years ago, when I discovered they were a standard size after thinking for years I'd not be able to get any. Bonus, two of the new bits are JIS, too.

Whilst they are mostly a standard size 5/16 hex spare ones have only been common fairly recently, previously it was just as cheap to buy a new impact driver

I did look at the Halfords advanced one but the reviews are pretty poor, saying the bits are rubbish.

These type of screwdriver bits are just standard 5/16" or 8mm - so just search for an 8mm Hex Insert Bit Holder for the drive size of your impact.
