I think someone has been clubbed to death in there already...Clubhouse!
Me earlier!Apologies for the Chinese lessons over the last few days. They were both cunning and persistant. We've added in some more anti-spam stuff that should hopefully sort it.
If any member runs into a message saying they've posted too many times or temporarily has missing new thread, reply, or conversation buttons let me know as it means I've screwed up the settings.
Thanks for reporting the spam. Makes it much easier to keep them out without affecting everyone else.
Let them in Wozz, once they start reading the drivel they will soon be gone Good job the team are on it all the sameSeems we're being targeted a lot by spammers at the moment. Of the 31 most recent account setup attempts in the last 3 days, 21 have been by obvious spammers.
Yes please. Don’t reply to threads, it just keeps any nefarious links active for longer. The sooner the post and poster are removed the better.Just for the record, do you want us to hit the "Report" button when we come across obvious spam ?
That's not really what is going on from what i have seen, they just want to dump a linky into a thread, so it receives google ratings.Let them in Wozz, once they start reading the drivel they will soon be gone Good job the team are on it all the same
That’s correct, it makes them really easy to spot.Looks like they’re generally targeting motor forums running on xenforo. I presume they use automated tools and are supplying car models for where we have “what is your welder?”

This month seems really popular for some reason, it all started on the 1st.This is a screenshot of the last 3 days worth of account attempts, only the ones in white are successful.
Pink is banned, blue is pre-modded, grey is rejected.
Gives you an idea of what goes on behind the scenes to try and keep the forum spam-free.

I have a series of questions on the Facebook groups which require a single choice. The scammers and SPAMmers tick them all. Lots more obvious pointers and some make it so easy by posting something ludicrous with the application.
