Do you mean like a Perspex cover over the bench grinder wheel?Nice bit of recycling! Please knock up a sheet metal guard for the bench grinder though; that's an accident waiting to happen, and from the number of bowk-inducing pictures the forum's occasional 'look how I ended up in A&E' threads are filled with we don't need any showing pie-slices of abrasive wheel embedded in you.
No. Grinders come with those, but I find them to be utterly useless; even when new they invariably collect reflections and are hard to see through, and once covered in dust and scratches are simply a hindrance. I mean the cowl around the grinding wheel; the remnants of it are there but the outer parts that are removable to allow changing the wheel are missing.Do you mean like a Perspex cover over the bench grinder wheel?
Good spot.Angle grinder needs a guard on too. People who use them without a guard need to be strung up and beaten with a big stick. Seen so many accidents and twiglet fingers where blokes take guards off.
You wouldn't put your man bits within half an inch of a rotating grinding wheel would you, so why your fingers?
...goes with the fixtures and fittings mate iff you post projects with pics...take it on the chin and next time have a bottle of oxy poking through the bench to really get the fingers typing
Likewise.. If you hand it out be prepared to take it in return.....goes with the fixtures and fittings mate iff you post projects with pics...take it on the chin and next time have a bottle of oxy poking through the bench to really get the fingers typing
Never having a McCulloch strimmer again
Nice bench, put a guard on your grinder!
Thank You... I will..I appear to have wandered off topic again...
