Thank you too..i second that.
Thank you too..i second that.
Thank you MuchlyGreat bench. Only complaint is it now makes me want to make one for myself
Thank you.. The gas bottle rests on a 4x4 steel box section.. It's ok really to put my size bottle in.. I don't weld very often so It's a lot better for me, with it going where my bench does without dragging and tangling lines and cables all the time.. All the appliances go into one splitter electric box wired in by my sparky.. With the buffing wheel which I use a great deal, it's nice to be able to go outdoors with it as it creates a lot of waxy debris.. Therefore it's a bit messy.. Especially in an OCD workshop..i think a chainsaw with a guard would make it very hard to cut trees with
but a chainsaw does have something the bench grinder doest....
an emergency brake...
nice bench,
though i don't think i would want to keep lifting the bottle out to change it.

Hi MateNice job Noods.
I think the thread has turned into a bit of a HnS dos n donts.
The bench is very cool. Where is the little buddy tig gonna sit. Or has that been chucked out now.
Yes it's the small one for me, I don't do much welding really so it's plenty for me.. Only takes a mo to change and once in stays put till refill req.. Thanks for your your thoughts Appreciated...is it a 10L bottle or larger ?
i guess in that respect. the welder and bottle is wherever the bench is.
handy i suppose and keeps it tidy and out the way.
Hi mTe not happy with my progress/my tigs progress.. Hence elmdale have taken it in to be looked at... Heaven only knows? The other week I had been working with it and completely switched it off with the plug removed.. The torch moved near a metal piece on my next bench there was a flash and the trip had gone off in workshop... Engineer came and tried it out... It did it again, hence it's gone back...Hey there is no rush and if your happy with how your progress is going then there need but it's entirely up to you.
I personally really really like the top of gas bottle in the bench. It's not something I've ever seen before yet I'm pretty sure it is something I'm going see again when people see it.
Thank you...Can't see much against the bottle position other than grinding dust and such though you could soon make a cover shipped like a fez and totally fix that
I do think as you say it gets stuff out the way yet still handy in a small shop
