Hi new member here based in the UK won the said welder on eBay for 40 pounds so took a punt torch and foot pedal included but sold as spare or repair.been through the welder and found some damaged components on the auxiliary power supply board have ordered replacements but what I wanted to know was is there any circuit schematics I can obtain to help me bring back to life the welder any information will be appreciated thanks Paul

Id suggest looking through the ESAB support on line, as Thermal arc, Thermadine industries I think it was called is now part of ESAB. The earlier machines the Arcmasters were made in Japan by SanRex. But not sure where those models were made.
But for 40 quid with a pedal and torch its a good buy, especially if its the correct Thermal Arc pedal, which were made by SSC.

Yes thanks I've been quite lucky buying spare or repair items on eBay for little money I got a 2 year old 100 litre air compressor for 40 pounds the previous person had also bought it to repair but couldn't for some reason so resold it on eBay turned out to be the reeds and a slightly miss aligned piston but its up and running fine now just hope my luck holds with the welder cheers panl

Thermal Arc 186 made a pop and now won't turn on
Went to use my machine that has very little use on it yesterday. Turned it on and POP and nothing. I'm guessing something on a power board blew. Does anyone have any experience similar to this? I would have though maybe this would manifested into a common issue but I haven't been able to find...
