Never had one so can't compare but definitely do not regret getting the Optrel

And you shouldnt mate.
For ME The Viking is better but not for everybody.
I hate external controls with a passion but some love em.
I like huge viewing areas but some find them distracting and prefer smaller ones.
It's a preference thing. The Viking ain't perfect but it's near enough for my preferences.

Thanks everyone for all your excellent advice. It looks like the best choice for me would be the Phantom Extreme
The forum members that have posted about theirs seem very happy and its the best i can afford.
