Tig torch connections

The gas connector on these chinesey machines usually doubles up as the torch power connection, not sure if this has been said already as this thread is somewhat confusing, so for tig you'd use the pos dinse (it'll be 10-25) for the return lead, and the gas connector for the torch lead, thats it... usually, try and find a manual for your machine if you're unsure, honestly its what i'd bet on though, if not, use the adaptor and a piece of hose and a barb for the gas connector

Take cover off and look, if juice goes down the gas line, itll have wires connected to the back!

As far as I know, there is a separate line for gas and leccy up to the torch head on my WP26…..

If I buy just a Wp9 torch I’ll need something like the item depicted, but where to buy one apart from China? Any ideas?

Make a copper bushing, on which a simple ceramic cup is screwed, for a torch of the 26th series.

If water cooling is not used. I have a video

The threads almost match + tin soldering to seal and connect the parts.

post a picture of your existing torch connections, this does not need to be so complicated.

My WP26 has the fitting shown above, the gas connection to the welder is M10x1.0 and the leccy side is a Dinse connection of the small variety….So , I can’t just swap the torch out for a 9 because it’s smaller…

Thats why you use a dinse adapter the correct size for your machine with the correct gas thread. If you want lightand flexible, you want one with power and gas down the line

He did me a cracking deal on the parweld adapters.
I needed dinse 35 and gas connection to ck superflex.

Was quick and cheap enough.

Ok,sorry if I’m making hard work of this, got my new WP9 torch, but the gas tail has a 3/8 female nut fitting on the end….,I need to get that down to M10 x 1 or a hose fitting….

Any ideas where I can get one?

or cut of the 3/8th and cut the one of your existing torch and joing accordingly with a bit of tube of double barbed fitting. If it were me Id cut the correct one of and buy rectus 21 quick connects for changing in future.

Ok, here’s my solution….

I removed both hose tails from both torches.

Copied the nut for the hose tail fitted to my WP26 torch. Just need to make the tail now…
the 1st pic shows both orig fittings, 2nd pic new nut fitted to orig tail, last pic, is the new 10 mm nut.
I had to use some 5/8” round brass, didn’t have any hex bar, so machined a 13 mm a/f hex to the end for final nip up with a spanner.
