well i would say 90 percent of all the exotics for the oil industry have been done with them meters we talking inconel ,duplex ,super duplex with g48 tests too
IF the client specifys the super duper HFT im sure he would get it no doubt
put it this way id be confident to do a titanium butt on pipe with a pe 100 i could tell the moment i struck the arc up if it was running clean ,what do think we did 30 years ago when we welded cunifer ,and other exotics without a meter ,
remember i was in BAGDHAD when you were still in yer DADSBAG
I'm not saying it can't be done Z only that its kind of moot to be using a tool which doesn't have the right resolution for the intended application. I don't own an purge monitor but any titanium I do always comes out silver inside. I just purge it right and like you say it's like mud if the purge isn't where it needs to be.
