aye I can see the issue for you, I walk past mine every time I go into the workshop, so easy enough to remember. That said I like pondy's idea of the sound attenuated enclosure. I need to finish the workshop extension, the compressor will be relocated definitely out of the main area, to the lean too. The temperature is often low and during winter the compressor often trips when the oil is cold, easily cured with a quick blast with the hot air gun, but still a ball ache though. I'll definitely build an enclosure as well, that'll help with the both the noise and the temperature.
Think I'll still pipe to an accessible foot operated valve though, I like the simplicity of it, one less thing to go wrong.
