Yes but that's all. I have one that has broken the arm that the finger attaches to. Part not available so tool is scrap.
Part is poorly designed with a hole through the casting without any extra bracing that leaves a weak point.

On the other hand you can buy every part for the b&d powerfile, not
that they are needed as they are a sturdy thing. I still have one of the original green powerfiles in use and all it has needed is a new finger now and then.

Ah! Fair enough. It was theorised earlier in the thread that they were the same as Titan, any chance that could be a source of spares?

I did similar about 20 years ago, bought a diy shed own brand Performance circular saw, it came with a spare blade and I hoped it would last long enough to cut some boards I was fitting in the loft, still using it now on the original blade.

No spares available for Titan. Einhell is similar price and has spares. I like Silverline as they stand by their warranty.

There is also an identical except for the colour one sold by Sealey, The inline motor means it is better balanced & nicer to use, it also goes slower on minimum speed which is useful. I bought one for a particular big job sanding the inside of a boat with lots of fiddly bits & it lasted the job out before it let its magic smoke out.
Next time i would buy Titan, bought one of their big 240v hammer drill breakers a few years ago It comes with a big set of masonry drills & breaker bits & the whole lot was £70 back then about £85 today. Simple & agricultural but very good value & its done some serious work.
